few interesting things about Taiwan:
- Island (now Taiwan) in 1590 was named Ilha Formosa by the Portuguese settling there, which means "beautiful island"
- strict drug law, applies the death penalty even for crimes related to Drug
- small seismic shocks (up to 5 degrees) are in different parts of island almost on the agenda
- currency is New Taiwanese Dollars (TWD)
- main religions are Taoism and Buddhism and konfucjonizm
- Taiwan produces everything! Exports, however, mainly electronics
- Poland does not recognize Taiwan's statehood, and it does not maintain diplomatic relations
- Taiwan is called a botanical garden in Asia
- so. entitled "Anti-Secession" enables China to military intervention if Taiwan declares independence
- highly venomous snakes are numerous
